Wisdom Deities in Tibetan Buddhism

Wisdom deities (Tibetan: ye shes kyi lha, ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ལྷ) hold a special place in Tibetan Buddhist practice. These beings embody the discriminating wisdom that recognizes the true nature of reality and the primordial wisdom that is the ground of all existence. The most important wisdom deities include Manjushri (Jamyang), the bodhisattva of wisdom; Saraswati (Yangchenma), the goddess of wisdom, music, and the arts; and Vajrayogini, a female wisdom deity of the highest tantra. Tibetan Wisdom Deity Names
